Meet our Executives

Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Roth joined AZ Capitus in 2019 and is Chief Executive Officer and Chief Administrative Officer. He is responsible for managing the operations, capital allocations, small business funding, treasury, fund accounting, investor communications, tax, technology, operational risk, change management, facilities and administration functions for the Firm. Prior to joining AZ, Mr. Roth was Chief Financial Officer at Capital Management. He also served as Chief Accounting Officer and Manager of Financial Reporting during his time at Capital Management

Mr. Roth earned his BBA degree cum laude in accounting.

Chief Financial Officer

Mr Cohen joined AZ in 2024 and is Chief Financial Officer and Co-Head of Global Sales within the Investors Group. He is responsible for business development and investor relations for the Firm. Prior to joining the team he was Managing Director in the Americas Institutional Business at GreyRock, where he was the Head of small business funding. Prior to this position, he was a Partner and Director of Marketing at Stellar Cap, where he led the marketing and client relationship team. Mr Cohen earned his BA degree in Linguistics. He received an MBA in Finance.

Hedge Fund Management

 Mr. Williams joined AZ in 2018 and is a Hedge Fund Manager and Managing Director on the Direct Lending team. He is responsible for originating, underwriting, executing and monitoring investments for the Firm, as well as allocating funds to small businesses and directing our Credit Line program. Prior to joining AZ Mr. Williams was a Director at Merrill Lynch Capital, where he originated, structured, underwrote, executed and managed middle market leveraged finance transactions. Prior to this position, Mr. Williams worked at Fleet Capital Corporation as a Business Development Officer and Underwriter. He began his career at Arthur Andersen, where he worked in the Transaction Services group and Commercial Audit practice. Mr. Williams earned his BS degree magna cum laude in accounting and is a CPA .

Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Levinson joined AZ Capitus in 2022 and is a Chief Operating Officer and a Senior Director on the Direct Lending team. He is responsible for originating, underwriting, executing and monitoring investments for the Firm. Prior to joining AZ, Mr. Levinson was an Executive Director in the Financial Sponsors group at Morgan Stanley, where he was responsible for originating and executing debt, equity and M&A transactions for large and middle market private equity clients. Before joining Morgan Stanley, he served as an Officer in the United States Navy in various assignments. Mr. Levinson earned his BA degree in History from the College of the Holy Cross. He received an MBA from Montana School of Business.
